Last Minute Fourth of July Looks

Hi Everyone!

Happy Saturday! I hope you are doing something fun and for yourself today! I wanted to post some cute and simple Fourth of July outfits, in case like me you waited until the last minute to purchase any! LOL

My goal with this blog post was to put together an entire day's worth of outfits. This way no matter where your day takes you, you will be covered in the wardrobe department. So lets get to it!

First stop...brunch!

Everyone knows a good day starts with a brunch and some farmer's market shopping (and by everyone I mean myself because that is my ideal morning hahahaha). This cute little dress is perfect for that! It is so lightweight, but oh so flattering! My favorite part of it are the little ruffle details, it really makes the look dainty and feminine. This dress is also lined, so no worries of it being see-through here! I did link the cute white tassel earrings I am wearing to spice up this look!

After a perfect morning, what is better than an afternoon at the beach?

This suit is something totally out of my own comfort zone! When I was shooting these photos with my fiance (yes he is the secret photographer behind the scenes haha) I kept saying I can't believe how much I love this, because it is so unlike anything I have ever worn before.

First off it is seriously SO cute! The smock top and little ruffle detail...I mean come on!! I have never worn high waisted bathing suit bottoms, and wow have I been missing out! I love how they feel and just how comfortable they are! My girls that aren't into super revealing bikinis but want it to still be cute and festive, this is for you!!

Finally, nothing ends a Fourth of July like a backyard BBQ!

This little Americana tee is so classic. I love the simplicity of it, but also how cute it can make your outfit. It is a perfect Fourth of July piece, without  having to try hard at all! I paired it with these little fringe white shorts. I love the fit of these shorts! I love that they are high-waisted, but also long enough to cover my booty. My two words of advice on them is, don't order a size up because they will be huge, and don't wear neon pink underwear because it will show through...I know both from experience hahahaha.

Hopefully these quick and easy outfits help you put together some Fourth of July looks, or inspire you to create your own! There is still time to get the perfect outfit, thank goodness for online shopping! LOL!

I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!

Season of Change

Hi Guys!

Holy moly it has sure been a while since I have blogged. It is one of the most frustrating things for me because I always had so many things I wanted to share with you, but could never find the time to just sit down and get it done! So thanks for still following me after my long hibernation season! LOL

I like to be open and honest about all things with my followers.

1. I don't think it is cool to lie on social media and try to make my life seem like something it is not.
2. If my stories, fashion finds, or anything I post can help someone, I want it to.
3. You all take the time to follow along so the least I can do is be honest.

So here are my life updates and things I really wanted to share with you all. I know that I am a fashion blogger, but I am also lifestyle.  I love to be able to share these things too!

I have officially moved back to my teeny tiny hometown! Let me tell you this move and the anticipation for it has been such a journey. I just felt so anxious and so overwhelmed with all the unknowns ahead and unanswered questions.

My lease was ending, and with the wedding coming up, I was not going to sign another year lease. This meant that I had to leave my big-shot corporate job, and the reactions I got did not exactly help my anxiousness.

"You are leaving this job to live on a farm?!"

"Are you just going to milk cows now?!"

"What are you even going to do once you leave?!"

So before I even go any further I just need to point out that anyone who knows me the slightest bit knows I will be nowhere close to milking any sort of cows! Hahahahahaha! #sorryPaul

In my head it was nonstop overthinking, wondering should I figure out how to work my job longer, would I be a failure if I went home without another job lined up, so many different things running through my head. It is honestly scary how much your mind can mess with you. I was convinced I was not going to know how to act or what to even do without this job I have put so much energy into.

Let me just tell you that little voice in your head is wrong.

Since I have moved home, I have never in my life felt better. I have never been more relaxed, because my last job was such a high-stress level position I did not have time to relax.

I have never laughed more or had more fun. My fiance is the most amazing man, and has pretty much had me laughing so hard everyday my stomach hurts. (Good ab workout for the wedding though hahaha)

I have never felt more loved or more supported. With all the encouraging words and love I have been shown from friends and family.

That is when it finally hit me. I made a really hard decision in life, but I made it for me! I chose to put myself and my happiness first. I always put others and their feelings before my own, which I am sure so many of you all do as well. This one big decision to move home and put my happiness before any job or anything else will forever change my life.

This morning I woke up, and I had the absolute biggest smile on my face. I stepped out into the hallway of my future home and I just couldn't believe how lucky I was, right there in that moment. The natural sun was shining into the hallway that so much time and effort was put into to make beautiful. There was a man right outside working in the shop that loves me more than most people are loved in a lifetime (he is so amazing it's unreal). I just stood there in awe of how perfect and wonderful my life was and is about to be.

Here are some before and after photos of our little farmhouse so far!

Be thankful for every single moment, no matter how big or small. Life is really all about perspective!

Make sure to live every single day for you! What makes you happy? Do what you love and follow your heart and the rest will all fall into place!
