(Before I talk about the awesome fashion trends, I just want to put in my two cents on swimwear body image issues)
How many times do we dread putting on that swimsuit and heading to the beach with our friends?
My question is why?
We need to love putting on that suit. We need to own it. We need to put societies standards aside and enjoy this wonderful life we are lucky enough to live. In 10 years will I remember what I looked like in that swimsuit? No, I will remember the awesome times I had while wearing it, but those times will never happen if I am too worried about what people think I look like in it.
Enjoy life guys. Don't spend your life worrying about such minor things. Just be who God so carefully created you to be.
But the most important thing I have learned is...DO NOT COMPARE YOURSELF TO ANYONE ELSE.
Sorry about the rant, but self-love is so important ladies, we need to love ourselves and each other. Let's be women that build each other up, not tear each other down.
Now that my serious note is over, I should probably get to what you guys came here for...THE SWIMWEAR BLOG!
So I am going to say it loud and proud, and one more time for the people in the back. One of my favorite places to shop swimwear is....Target. For the price, quality, and styles, Target gets an A in my book. I am all for shopping the cute online boutiques swimwear, but I love to be able to touch and feel and physically try on my swimwear before I buy it. (Sorry if you hate target swim, but I hope this won't affect our friendship)
The One Piece
Ok, honestly this trend cracks me up. Five years ago none of us would be caught dead wearing a one piece swimsuit.
"Oh my gosh did you see Stacy was wearing a one piece? What is she 80?"
(Sorry to any Stacy's reading. Random name selection got the best of you this time)
But now all of us are fighting over that last one piece in stock. Fashion is a never ending cycle, and I am personally a fan of the one piece coming back into style. So many different variations keeping it fun.

The High-Neck
I am a huge fan of the high-neck bikini top. Fun fact about me is that I am a beach volleyball junkie. I love this style of swimwear because any active thing I do on the beach I feel so secure and supported.
This style has been in for a couple years now but it is not going away anytime in the near future.

The Cover-Up
Another trend I have started to notice is making our swimwear into a full on outfit. Before we just wore a bikini and that was it. Now, not only do we have to have the right bikini, but we need to have the right cover-up, jewelry, and sunhat to go right along with it.
I personally love this trend, because I am all about accessorizing and making an outfit more exciting. The Boho style cover-ups are huge right now, as well as the classic white cover-ups.
