Summer Style

Before I start I need to say a few huge thank you's. First, my sister, Erin. Thanks for reading all my posts and making sure I don't sound like a moron by using your amazing pr skills. Second, my amazing friend and photographer, Kacy. Thanks for making me look like I am not completely awkward in every picture. Lastly, to my followers, I feel like I am dreaming, but more than 2,000 people have read my blog so far. I am so grateful and blessed to have you all be apart of this journey. I will try to keep you entertained, but please keep me in line if I start to become boring and unfashionable.

Alright now let's do this blog thing...

In this post I want to show you guys a couple summer looks that are super easy to throw together, but look like you just popped out of a fashion magazine.

Look 1:

This first look is seriously so easy guys!

It is a jumpsuit. That's it. One article of clothing.

Throw this on and let it do the work for you. It feels like a blanket but looks like a Pinterest post. I got this bad boy from Express on the clearance rack and  have never looked back. This look is so easy to dress up with a pair of heels, or keep it casual with sandals and flats.

Want to know the best part about this jumpsuit? It can hide at least 10 food babies combined! The cinching in the middle helps make the midsection look attractive from any angle, and it is loose enough for food babies to grow. (So if you are actually pregnant with a real baby, this would be a great piece for you as well as us with food children)

Look 2:

Love them or hate them, I'm sorry but they really are back...

Overalls are back and trending again this summer.

I am with you when you are reading this with your mouth dropped, eyes rolled, and saying: How? Why? When will it stop?

I have never been a fan of them because I either look like a child or a farmer. No in-between. Style level zero. So how do we keep with the trends and not look like a toddler? We twist the trend. I took a street style approach with this look. I got overalls that weren't your stereotypical denim. The black makes them more chic. Then I paired them with popular lifestyle brands to help keep the look on trend and edgy.

After never being a fan, this overall look is extremely comfy and so fashion forward. (I'm sorry. I really couldn't resist putting that lame pun in there)

CK Sports Bra: Macy's  https://www.macys.com/
Adidas Sneaker: Shoe Carnival https://www.shoecarnival.com/

I hope these looks have inspired you to start your cute and comfy summer wardrobe.

Why did I start to blog?

So I couldn't wait to post this one until my launch date...the excitement and fear of this new journey is not even allowing me to sleep at night.

For those of you who don't know me well, or even those that do, I wanted this first post to be an intro about myself and why I decided to create this blog. I want to be honest and open, and let you all in on my adventure and journey to this new challenge.

So here we go...

Why?

The million dollar question.

Why am I starting a blog out of the blue?

To be honest, I have been thinking about this since I started college. I went to school for fashion, and thrive in anything related to clothes. You could say I have the "passion for fashion." Better yet, I will not say that phrase ever again, but you get the point, I like clothes.

I kept putting it off thinking, "Nobody cares what you have to say" or "Who will actually read a blog I write?" Then one day (Monday to be exact) I put all of those lame excuses away and said, "Just do it," (Yes, I was watching a Nike commercial while deciding that, so I am glad if you got the reference).

What is my Style?

You will soon find out in my posts that I wear just about every style. One day I'll do preppy and the next I'll wear street style. That is what I LOVE about fashion. You can be whoever you want to be. You do not have to stick to one certain mold, wear whatever the heck you want! I am excited for you all to see my different styles, and maybe decide they are the right styles for you as well.

What is my goal?

I have been asked by many people about what I am trying to get out of my blog.

Am I trying to make it a career? Am I trying to get famous? Will I get sponsored by brands?

My answer is pretty simple. I just want to make a difference, a positive difference in someone's life. I want to use the skills I have to help anyone and everyone. No this is not a career, unless someone wants to donate me a monthly paycheck because they are feeling generous....LOL (but I'm serious if there are any takers). This is a hobby. This is me going after a dream. This is obtaining my goals.

I may take a while to get the ball rolling, and I will mess up in probably 99.9% of my blog and Instagram posts. But I am doing what I love, and really isn't that our ultimate goal in life?

I hope you all are as excited as I am for this blog to happen. If you don't like it I am sorry, but just know my posts are all honest, truthful, and 100% me.

Believe me when I say, I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL SATURDAY. I did put it in all caps though to help make me sound more believable.

More to come,
